Since we had made spatial analyses in Ildırı in 2012 we decided to make a collective memory and oral history related architectural research in Ildırı with my thesis advisor. In order to determine existing and possible future problems, I concentrated on social and collective memory in order to ‘understand’ a place through its past, present and projected future. Ildırı is chosen as the case study site due to having urban, natural and archaeological protection areas overlapped each other, and also having similar places as location and values nearby, which may be compared as social and spatial changes they had and continue to have by the inspired interest and gained popularity lately.”
